Elephant Mountain Wildlife Management Area Web Cameras
Welcome to the Texas Bighorn Society Web Cam! We have installed four cameras on the Elephant Mountain Wildlife Management Area to help monitor our bighorn sheep, and to provide you with a unique window into the daily lives of the wildlife that calls this magnificent area home. We have partnered with Texas Parks and Wildlife, Buckeye Cameras and DFW Heavy Duty on this project, and hope that you will enjoy this opportunity to view bighorns and other wildlife using one of our TBS guzzlers and generally going about the day to day business of their lives. Each camera will post the last 90 pictures that have been taken at that site, with the newest photos at the top of the list and stepping back in time from there. These pictures will be posted in nearly real time (depending upon transmission times to the host computer at headquarters), so what you see is fresh on every visit. All pictures taken will be archived for use by the Texas Parks and Wildlife biologists on a computer at the headquarters, and over time we will create some archives of the best shots here for you to enjoy. VIEWING TIPS: The latest image will come up automatically once you pick one of our four cameras. The most recent 90 pictures taken by each camera are available at any time, and a scheduled shot is taken once a day on each camera so you can easily step back to your most recent visit. Most of the activity will be at the "Molcajete Springs" camera as this is the site of a TBS guzzler, and one of the main water sources on the mountain. You can click on the small thumbnail pictures on the left hand side of your screen and a larger version of that picture will download, and if a particular shot captures your interest, double click on it to view a higher resolution version in a new window. If you want to save a copy of that picture, right click on the larger version, and "save as" to a folder on your computer, and then close that window to return to the main listings. When you are done looking at the pictures from a particular camera you can return to the home page and chose another camera by clicking on "Back to List of Cameras" , or use your "back" arrow to return to the TBS website.
